Job Description
Guru Labs is an industry leader in corporate computer training products and services focusing on the Linux operating system and other open source technologies.
The office assistant is a key position in the organization. The position is critical in the following areas:
- Initial contact customers have with the organization
- Internal logistical support
- Facility management
Greet guests/customers and answer phone calls
Stock break-room supplies
Assure the facility appears clean and in professional order
Spot-clean training rooms and break rooms
Manage catering services
Assist in booking travel arrangements
Assist in event management and scheduling
Check mail and other correspondence
Additional duties as responsibilities as assigned
Excellent communication skills
Can effectively and professionally interact with customers
Speaks and writes well
Good technological background
Can productively self-manage
Drivers license and transportation
High school degree

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
