Summary:
Reports to the Director, Corporate Financial Services. Directly supervises Payroll Specialists. Responsible for accuracy and timely filings of payroll taxes to all appropriate jurisdictions.
Essential Functions:
Directly supervise payroll accountant. Ensure taxes are calculated accurately and sent timely each week. Responsible for quarterly and annual tax withholding filings. Responsible for annual creation and distribution of W2 forms to all MTC employees. Reconcile payroll and payroll tax accounts. Review and clear payroll related items in error suspense. Assist MTC locations with payroll tax-related inquiries. Assist in the preparation of audit requests as they arise. Responsible in providing payroll data to the Department of Labor on monthly and quarterly basis. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting. Minimum four years of experience, two of which must be supervisory. Must demonstrate knowledge of federal government accounting procedures and requirements. Must be willing and able to travel. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. $80K -- $100K
