Reports to the Director as assigned. Responsible for the accounts payable team and the timely processing of invoices/payments. Responsible for the develop & implementation of policies and procedures. Perform a wide variety of technical and analytical accounting tasks.
Essential Functions:
1. Oversee the training, development, motivation and supervision of employees. 2. Ensure the day to day accounts payable tasks are assigned and completed. 3. Review A/P account coding and assist A/P clerk(s) when necessary. 4. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and differences with vendors on a timely basis. 5. Responsible for the 1099 reporting. 6. Provide support to facilities with questions and problems as they arise. 7. Provide positive, quality customer service to corporate and facility staff. 8. Assist with month-end/year-end closing and related reconciliations. 9. Development and maintenance of accounts payable policies and procedures & training curriculum. 10. Maintain accountability of property; adheres to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management. Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 5 year of accounting experience. 2 years of supervisory experience. Experience working on a mature ERP system such as Oracle Cloud, SAP or Workday preferred. Shared service center management and experience in change management preferred. Must be willing and able to travel. Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record. MTC is a federal contractor.
